Role Summary
We are a rapidly expanding manufacturer looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to become a key member of our technical staff. In this active, multi-craft position, you will focus on the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of production machinery to ensure peak operational performance and foster a secure, high-output manufacturing setting.
Successful applicants will demonstrate expert-level mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities and enjoy working within a dynamic, high-speed production facility.
Core Duties

Resolve equipment malfunctions swiftly to ensure production lines remain operational.

Execute scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to improve overall equipment longevity.

Identify and rectify faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Restore or swap out industrial parts such as gearboxes, motors, valves, pumps, bearings, and conveyor systems.

Analyze mechanical blueprints and electrical diagrams to guide repair efforts.

Analyze PLC-based systems from brands like Siemens or Allen-Bradley to pinpoint errors.

Wire and install various electrical hardware including sensors, VFDs, and motors.

Conduct necessary fabrication and welding tasks to keep machinery functional.

Log maintenance activities and finalize work orders through our CMMS platform.

Assist with facility upgrades, new equipment setups, and projects aimed at operational excellence.

Uphold strict adherence to all site safety protocols, specifically Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Partner with engineering and production staff to boost the reliability of our machinery.
Requirements

Minimum of three years working in a manufacturing maintenance capacity.

Proven proficiency in diagnosing and fixing complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Working knowledge of motor controls, contactors, relays, sensors, and VFDs.

Welding and fabrication skills are considered an asset.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.

Capacity to manage tasks autonomously while remaining a collaborative team player.
Desired Qualifications

Technical certification or Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related electrical discipline.

Prior experience within sectors such as automotive, food and beverage, plastics, metals, or packaging.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLC systems from manufacturers like Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley.

Practical experience involving automated systems or industrial robotics is a plus.
