Head Barista – Job Description
As the Head Barista at La Coffeetera, you will lead all coffee operations, ensuring every beverage meets our quality standards while creating an exceptional guest experience. You will oversee barista training, maintain consistency in beverage preparation, manage inventory, and continuously elevate our coffee program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, specialty coffees, teas, and other café drinks.
- Lead, train, coach, and motivate the barista team to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared according to La Coffeetera’s recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor espresso extraction, milk steaming, grinder calibration, and overall coffee quality throughout the day.
- Develop and introduce seasonal coffee beverages and specialty drink offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station at all times.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, teas, and café supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring product availability.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues with espresso machines and grinders.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming café atmosphere.
- Work closely with management to improve efficiency, beverage quality, and the overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
