Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilators.
- Perform detailed patient assessments, interpret physiological data, and develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices and hospital protocols.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate complex treatments such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis, or trauma interventions.
- Implement aseptic techniques during invasive procedures like suturing, catheterization, or IV insertions to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Conduct triage assessments for incoming patients, prioritize urgent cases, and facilitate timely interventions in emergency or urgent care settings.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration—including botulinum toxin treatments—and post-discharge care instructions.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state registration; experience working within ICU settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures such as ventilator management, IV infusion therapy, tube feeding, and airway management.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine services.
- Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform complex medical procedures including venipuncture, catheter care, sterile processing techniques, and specimen collection.

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,700.00 per week
