Join our boutique financial forensics firm as a Forensic Accountant / Valuation Analyst, where you will play a vital role in uncovering financial insights and providing expert witness services related to complex financial matters, including economic damages, financial forensics, and business valuations.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting expertise, technical accounting skills, and financial analysis experience to real-world challenges. You will work closely with a small team to assist in projects including business valuations, calculations of economic damages, partnership disputes, divorce, fraud/forensic accounting, and bankruptcy matters. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong foundation in technical accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Solid mathematical aptitude combined with a keen attention to detail and analytical rigor.
- Strong ability to trace financial transactions from bank statements through accounting general ledgers and understand how those transactions impact financial reporting.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to summarize technical analyses succinctly.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules with tight litigation deadlines.
- Self-motivated, desire to learn.
- Willingness and ability to work remotely, primarily through Zoom.
- Professional credentials are a plus (CPA, CVA, ASA, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing forensic accounting, valuation, economic damages, and other analyses as necessary.
- Draft technical memos or whitepapers regarding specific analyses or procedures performed.
- Provide assistance in drafting and reviewing expert reports.
- Conduct research, pull industry benchmark and other valuation data from databases to support analyses.
- Track your time diligently, as many of our engagements are billed hourly.
- Communicate internally with team members regarding ongoing projects.
- Review and organize documents received.
- Keep track of documents and information requested vs. documents and information received for various projects. Stay on track of requesting information necessary to complete assignments.
- Keep all client information strictly confidential.

Compensation will range based on experience and business development.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
