American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring ICU experience and flexibility to float across multiple units.

21-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
-
Patient ratio of 1:4-5
-
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Orientation held every Wednesday
-
Floating required across stepdown, ICU, and med/surg units
-
Patient population includes NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular cases (fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy), CIWA protocol patients receiving IV Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), and wound care

Non-titrating drips administered include Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene

Hemodialysis performed in the Dialysis Department

EMR: Meditech
-
Active SC RN license or compact RN license valid in South Carolina required at time of consideration

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

ICU experience required in addition to PCU/stepdown experience

Travel nursing experience preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Responsibilities include administering nebulizer treatments, managing non-titrating cardiac drips, and supporting patients on stable BiPAP and home ventilators

Must be comfortable floating to ICU and med/surg units as needed
