Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and <PERSON> driver vehicles with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Plan optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency while maintaining punctuality.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations with a focus on professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and completion records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to report progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks or <PERSON> driver vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Experience in warehouse environments involving heavy lifting, moving supplies, or using forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries.
