Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator

We are currently hiring Material Handlers for a long-term opportunity at a customer facility in Mount Vernon, IL. This position primarily involves operating a sit-down forklift while assisting with material handling and tire recycling operations. Forklift training will be provided onsite for qualified candidates.
Pay & Shift Options
1st Shift
*
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
*
$17.50/hour
Night Shift
*
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
*
$18.20/hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts following the Pitman Shift Schedule (rotating schedule with every other weekend off).
Job Responsibilities
*
Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
*
Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
*
Manually load and move tires when needed.
*
Operate balers and other material handling equipment.
*
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
*
Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.
*
Work closely with Project Managers and other team members.
Requirements
*
Previous forklift experience preferred.
*
Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
*
Steel-toed boots are required.
*
Must bring:
*
Safety gloves
*
High-visibility vest
*
Safety glasses
*
Valid State ID or Driver's License required.
*
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
*
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
