Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food production to create visually appealing baked goods.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and knives safely and efficiently to support daily baking operations.
- Package baked items accurately, ensuring proper labeling and presentation for customer purchase or display.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following food safety management protocols, including sanitation and organization of work areas.
- Support high-volume production by adhering to recipes precisely and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked products and assisting with selections when needed.
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation, or the food industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are essential for efficient food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to recipe guidelines are crucial for maintaining product quality.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements, portioning, and inventory management.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety in the workspace.
- Customer service skills to engage positively with team members and customers alike.
- Experience with packaging baked goods and cake decorating is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
