Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching certificate (CI or ASD endorsement)
- Experience working with students in elementary ASD or similar special education settings
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to address diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates
