Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze complex journal entries, ensuring accuracy in double entry bookkeeping and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly to maintain data integrity.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data using Excel formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and spreadsheet tools to support reporting and decision-making.
- Utilize various financial systems like QuickBooks, QuickBooks online, ProSeries Software
- Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling data entry tasks related to financial transactions.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5 or more years in tax return preparation.
- Extensive experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel data analysis techniques including formulas and functions like VLOOKUP for efficient reporting.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and identify discrepancies swiftly.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills coupled with attention to detail in preparing reports and documentation.
