Role Description
Shah & Co., Certified Public Accountants, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing firm. This is a full-time position with flexible work arrangements, including in-person, hybrid, or fully remote options. The applicant will play a critical role in delivering high-quality tax services to our diverse client base, including individuals, small businesses, and corporations.
In this role, you will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, preparation, audits, and ensuring that all filings adhere to tax laws and regulations. You will work closely with clients to provide strategic tax solutions, identify opportunities for tax savings, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent client service.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in tax planning, tax compliance, and tax preparation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with tax controversy and a solid understanding of tax law
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting tools (experience with CCH Axcess Tax / ProSystem fx Tax is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
