Night Shift Programmer
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Overtime: Must be available to work overtime as required
Position Summary
The Night Shift Programmer is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining programs for laser and press brake equipment to support production requirements. This position works closely with manufacturing personnel to ensure programs are accurate, efficient, and optimized for quality, productivity, and material utilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Create, edit, and maintain programs for laser cutting and press brake equipment.
· Utilize TruTops software for laser and press brake programming.
· Utilize SigmaTek/SigmaNEST software for laser and press brake programming.
· Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate manufacturing programs.
· Optimize material utilization, nesting efficiency, and machine performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve programming-related issues affecting production.
· Collaborate with production personnel, supervisors, and engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives.
· Verify program accuracy and make revisions as necessary to meet quality and production requirements.
· Maintain organized programming files, documentation, and revision records.
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to programming processes and manufacturing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, general file management, and data entry.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with TruTops programming software.
· Experience with SigmaTek/SigmaNEST programming software.
· CAD experience preferred (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar software).
· Knowledge of laser cutting and press brake manufacturing processes.
· Previous programming experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment while following all safety requirements.
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, with overtime as required.
