BUKO Furniture specializes in authentic vintage Danish and Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. We source original pieces directly from Denmark and carefully restore them before offering them to customers throughout the United States.
Our collection includes designers and manufacturers such as Arne Vodder, Kai Kristiansen, Johannes Andersen, Niels Møller, Dyrlund, Omann Jun, and many others.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys bringing high-quality furniture back to life.
Responsibilities
- Assist our lead furniture refinisher
- Sanding and surface preparation
- Furniture disassembly/reassembly
- Upholstery (chairs, seats, cushions)
- Foam and webbing replacement
- Moving furniture
- Cleaning and preparing inventory
- Helping organize the workshop
- Learning veneer repairs and color matching over time
Qualifications
Required
- Experience with upholstery, woodworking, furniture restoration, cabinetmaking, or a related hands-on trade preferred.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Able to lift and move furniture (up to 75 lbs with assistance).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn from an experienced lead furniture refinisher.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with:
- upholstery
- foam replacement
- webbing
- furniture refinishing
- sanding and finishing
- veneer repair
- color matching
- cabinetmaking
- Danish or mid-century modern furniture
- Experience in a furniture shop, upholstery shop, woodworking shop, cabinet shop, yacht interiors, or similar environment.
Compensation & Benefits
