Company Description
The Sack Company is a commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) company that is currently looking for motivated candidates to join our HVAC (Mechanical) Division.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform commercial start-up of various HVAC systems, including RTUs, ERVs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and equipment from multiple manufacturers.
- Take pride in all phases of commercial HVAC equipment installation.
- Install hard drawn ACR pipe and refrigerant tubing.
- Install Type L copper (CU) pipe.
- Install drain piping for commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment operational issues and ensure proper system performance.
- Communicate effectively with in-house personnel and general contractor customers.
- Work efficiently to meet construction deadlines.
- Provide quality control (QC) support as needed.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout all installation and start-up activities.
- Support successful project completion through attention to detail and effective coordination with project teams.
- Focus exclusively on commercial construction, start-up, and installation activities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service, start-up, and installation experience.
- Experience with RTUs, ERVs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
- Skilled in installing hard drawn ACR pipe, refrigerant tubing, Type L copper pipe, and drain piping.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet construction schedules and maintain quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license; EPA Universal Certification preferred.
