Duties
- Measure and cut insulation materials accurately according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Install insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, attics, and crawl spaces using hand tools and power tools
- Follow blueprint specifications and schematics to ensure precise placement and coverage
- Use ladders safely to access elevated areas during installation processes
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including power tool safety and fall prevention measures
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate installation schedules and address site-specific needs
Requirements
- Prior construction experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in insulation work
- Ability to climb ladders safely and work at heights comfortably
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installation processes
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including power tool safety, fall protection, and site hazard awareness
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience with construction site procedures such as scaffolding setup, caulking, plastering, or masonry is advantageous
