Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling medications accurately across various pharmacy settings, including hospital and community pharmacies.
- Conduct pharmaceutical calculations to ensure precise medication dosages and compounding procedures.
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and proper storage practices.
- Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems with high accuracy to maintain comprehensive patient records.
- Support sterile IV infusion preparation using aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and medical terminology guidelines.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions, maintaining patient confidentiality, and assisting with medication intake and administration processes.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management.
- Experience with pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation compliance, and medical terminology
- Proven ability to handle medication administration tasks accurately while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
