Infant & Toddler Teacher (Part-Time)

Position Details
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
- Hours: Part Time
- Location: Lake Elsinore, CA
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care for infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, naps, and health monitoring while following licensing regulations and best practices.
- Use positive guidance and classroom management techniques to encourage cooperation, emotional regulation, and positive behavior.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's daily activities, milestones, progress, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging learning experiences that support early childhood development and school readiness.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, developmental observations, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure the classroom remains clean, organized, safe, and compliant with California Community Care Licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred.
- Knowledge of infant and toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- Must successfully pass Live Scan fingerprint clearance and meet all California Community Care Licensing requirements.
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child safety practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional care.
