Job Summary:
Minh Viet Academy is currently seeking a highly qualified and certified teacher for the following high school-level subjects:
- Grade 6 Honor Math - AOPS PreAlgebra, Fridays, 8:30 AM EST for 1.5 hours
- Grade 7 Honor Math - AOPS Algebra, Fridays, 8:30 AM EST for 1.5 hours
Each class meets every Friday via Zoom for 1.5 hours. A teaching assistant will be assigned to support grading and classroom management. This is a year-round, part-time teaching position. No additional benefits are included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons based on the provided curriculum
- Foster student interaction and participation during live sessions
- Collaborate with the Instructional Designer to tailor course content as needed
- Conduct live classes using Zoom
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area
- Valid U.S. teaching certification
- Demonstrated experience teaching the specified subjects
- Experience in online/distance education
- Stable and reliable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. teaching license (active status preferred)
