Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Furniture Assembler / Handyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling furniture, performing general handyman tasks, and supporting various renovation and repair projects. Your expertise will help ensure our clients receive high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. Duties
- Assemble furniture pieces accurately following technical instructions, blueprints, and assembly plans using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform general handyman tasks such as drywall repair, caulking, stucco application, door hanging, and fixture installation to enhance residential or commercial spaces.
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute projects efficiently and correctly.
- Conduct heavy lifting and material handling of wood construction materials, siding, rebar installation, and other building supplies safely on-site.
- Utilize woodworking machines and power tools for framing, trim carpentry, flooring installation, and restoration industry projects.
- Assist with remodeling projects including plastering, mold remediation, flooring upgrades, and restoration work to improve property value.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by practicing power tool safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven construction estimating experience along with residential carpentry or woodworking background.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as framing, rebar installation, siding, door hanging, and fixture installation.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans to execute tasks accurately.
- Prior handyman experience in diverse settings including remodeling, restoration industry projects, or general maintenance roles.
- Knowledge of wood working materials, wood construction techniques, and the operation of woodworking machines is highly desirable.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks and working safely with power tools for woodworking is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
