Job Overview
We are excited to offer a dynamic, part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position for a three-month engagement, designed to deliver impactful speech and language therapy services across diverse populations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for passionate professionals to apply their expertise in the school setting. As an integral part of a school multidisciplinary team, you will focus on assessing, developing, and implementing personalized speech and language therapy plans that foster meaningful communication improvements. Responsibilities
- Provide treatment for students grades 3-5 in the school setting, supporting academic-focused speech therapy goals.
- Collaborate with other professionals on a multidisciplinary team, including other SLPs, OT, social work, and classroom teachers.
- Complete paperwork for IEP meetings as necessary.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations for IEP eligibility if necessary.
Experience
- Experience working with children in pediatric speech therapy or early intervention programs.
- Strong background in speech-language pathology with familiarity in receptive/expressive language, phonological disorders, and articulation.
- Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and developing evidence-based therapy plans.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology and general healthcare practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and healthcare teams in multidisciplinary settings.
- Working knowledge of anatomy relevant to speech production and physiology enhances clinical effectiveness.
This is a 3 month school contract with the opportunity to extend contract work into private practice or additional school contracts. The contract is three days/week and supports supports students grades 3-5.
