Saint Francis - Manchester is a non-profit Assisted Living Community at 65 West Clopton St., Richmond.
1. Be fully knowledgeable of Saint Francis – Manchester’s donation policies and procedures.
2. Practice discretion and maintain the strictest confidence regarding all information inherent in the day-to-day operations of the development office or other administrative offices.
3. Master and fully utilize all features of donor database system in order to maintain accurate records; expand the donor database; efficiently process gifts/pledges and generate appropriate acknowledgments/pledge reminders in a timely manner; prepare mailing lists, and generate monthly fundraising reports.
4. Work with Business Office to ensure monthly reconciliation between departments.
5. Maintain knowledge of various online giving systems in order to generate reports, upload gifts, and help donors resolve user issues.
6. Provide professional and friendly assistance to donors as needed.
7. Provide general administrative support to the Development Team, including but not limited to: typing, photocopying, scanning, filing, running errands (which require driving), ordering supplies and tracking expenses, and scheduling meetings.
8. Support in-kind donation program by recording in-kind gifts and preparing acknowledgments.
9. Meet fluctuating work situations and workloads; use time well.
·Minimum Education and Experience/Skills: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with minimum 1-3 years of experience in an area related to database management, development, or office administrative support. While an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is often required for this position, experience could substitute for education. Typically, three years of experience in a development office or similar fundraising or charitable setting would be required for an applicant without a degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and donor databases (DonorPerfect is preferred); Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization; Ability to multi-task, track, meet, and maintain a variety of deadlines; Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Professional and friendly demeanor; Discretion and confidentiality; Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good 3-year driving history. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and requirements. Ability to exercise sensitivity and good judgment in working with staff and public. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude.
