We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to perform daily billing tasks that will support our financial team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be fully responsible of the whole billing process from start to finish and everything in between. The job requires utmost responsibility and commitment. Responsibilities include managing a team of 5+ billing clerks, creating and monitoring billing reports, invoice management, excel spreadsheets, handling and managing large amounts of paper work, emails and communication with vendors/clients. You will work directly with our Accounting department, making sure billing operations run smoothly and ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. Ultimately, you will be the chief of the whole accounts receivable and billing departments.
Responsibilities
- Making sure complete billing process is performed correctly and efficiently
- Management and supervision of billing clerks and their duties
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Data entry
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Run reports from Open Invoice Platform.
- Weekly reports and meetings with accounting team
- Communication with vendors and clients
- Emails and calls to follow up on invoices
Skills
- Trucking/Transportation Experience preferred
- ***Must be bilingual in English and Spanish***
- Work experience as an Billing Specialist (AR) or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with Open Invoice Software.
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
