Accountability: Assist the Supervisor in achieving the department goals, and assist in training temporary employees.
Job Summary: This position includes all operations of the department. Assist in cross training, work toward continuous improvement and instill the importance of the suggestion board to coworker. Always is safety conscious.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Carry out production, inspection, and machine operation duties on multiple pieces of equipment
· Assist in setup of machinery and ensure all equipment and tooling are properly stored. Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of oils and coolants on machines
· Effectively monitor production equipment for proper operation (includes sight, sound, touch and smell)
· Maintain a safe and clean workspace
· Follow all assigned reporting and record keeping procedures
· Follow established safety rules and regulations
· Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
· Responsible for inspecting 100% of parts to specifications at assigned intervals and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
· Perform regular operator maintenance to department equipment and forklifts.
Experience and Educational Requirements: Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent, do basic math & counting, be willing and able to obtain a forklift license, be proficient in setting up all related machinery, be proficient at welding and setting up equipment read & follow work instructions, work orders and the first piece inspection process.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand continuously and work a 10 hour shift and overtime as needed. Must be able to squat/bend/kneel, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb/ reach/overhead, operate equipment (i.e., forklift, order picker, scissor lift.). Must be able to react positively and quickly to changing situations.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
