The Supervisor Quality & Safety responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assists with planning, implementing, and evaluating the Hospital Wide Performance Improvement Program, Risk Management, Physician Quality and Infection Control * Facilitates activities related to quality and performance improvement and patient safety and risk management * Facilitates organizational cognizance of the standards of the Joint Commission on accreditation of Healthcare Organizations through developing hospital manual * Provides educational resources and consulting services to system entities in matters related to accreditation, quality improvement, outcomes measurement, medical education and medical staff issues * Participates in Patient Safety activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines and reports to appropriate committees as mandated * Collects performance improvement data * Reviews all equipment related events that result in a serious illness, serious injury or death and assists with reporting to the manufacturer and/ or FDA as required by the Safe Medical Devices Act * Participates in staff interviews in order to validate compliance with policies and procedures and to gather information related to clinical processes. * Accompanies surveyors from state and federal agencies and arranges for meetings with staff and obtains documents requested Reports to assigned Leader This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Slight exposure risk to infection and communicable diseases from contact with the public. Frequent changes of work assignment. Frequent interruptions. General office noises. May require working extra hours. Often required to work in other departments which may be noisy and crowded. Several ongoing request for investigation, demands for financial reimbursement, accusations of liability. * Graduation from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing. * Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license form a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state. * Experience in health care quality and accreditation preferred * Experience and knowledge of CDC, OSHA, State licensure, TJC and Medicare recommendations and requirements preferred * Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
