Servers for Restaurant & Patio
Job Pay: $7.25 + TIPS (Average Pay average is $25 per hour)
Overview: Heath Golf & Yacht Club, located in Heath, Texas on the scenic shores of Lake Ray Hubbard, is a new 787-acre master-planned resort community. Planned amenities for this private club include a 27-hole championship golf course, club house, pool, tennis courts and fitness center, with jogging and walking trails.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit professionalism when interacting with Members, Guests, Management and fellow Employees
- Create memorable moments of hospitality for HGYC members and guests
- Must display creativity and resourcefulness when planning and implementing special events
- Take food and drink orders from members and guests accurately and with a positive attitude
- Write members and guests food orders on order slips, memorize orders and enter orders in computer system for transmittal to kitchen staff
- Engage with member and guests in a friendly manner
- Have a good knowledge of the menu to be able answer questions and make suggestions
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take whatever action is necessary to correct any problems
- Clear the table promptly and with little interference
- Deliver the check and collect payment
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
- Assist the food preparation staff, if necessary
- Uphold HGYC member service standards
- Ensure proper lock-up procedures are followed
- Interact with members and guests when necessary and be willing and able to resolve conflicts and answer questions
- Assess members /guests needs and preferences and make recommendations upon request
- Communicates delays and offers additional services to keep members/guest happy
- Ability to create a personal dining experience
- Stay member guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Provide all member and guest feedback to the Manager of Beverage, Catering and Event Services, the Executive Chef or the General Manager
- Promptly report any equipment or maintenance issues to the General Manager and or Executive Chef and or Manager of Beverage, Catering and Event Services
- Strong communication skills to effectively deliver messages to both guests and members of the team and staff
- A very strong work ethic with a hunger to grow within the Heath Golf and Yacht Club
Requirements & Essential Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency for time management and organization
- Basic understanding of wine, beer and spirits
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Ability to remain calm under stress and to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Positive attitude and a passion for excellent member service
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant Training Certificate preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry and push when performing duties
- High school diploma
- Valid drivers’ license and dependable transportation
- 2 years of experience within the hospitality industry (server preferred)
- Back of House experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Great member service attitude
- Ability to think quick on your feet in a very fast-paced environment
- Team player

Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant, patio, & poolside tables with special attention to sanitation and order

Skills
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
