Schedule:
● Must be available to work at least Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (additional hours may be available based on practice needs)
Who Should Apply:
- An experienced Medical Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity in a high-quality dermatology practice, or
- A motivated pre-medical student taking a gap year with prior outpatient clinical experience who is eager to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in dermatology.
Qualifications:
- Previous dermatology experience preferred; strong outpatient medical office experience will also be considered
- Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Dependable, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Motivated to learn, receptive to feedback, and committed to providing exceptional patient care
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, obtain medical histories and vital signs, and prepare patients for examination
- Assist physicians with dermatologic procedures, biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic treatments
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Educate patients and reinforce treatment and follow-up instructions
- Help maintain an efficient, organized clinic while supporting teammates and delivering an exceptional patient experience
