American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring a CA OT license and at least 2 years of experience.

Acute Care Hospital setting

Adult patient population with a ratio of 7 patients per OT
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Every other weekend required

Current CA OT license required, if applicable

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience required

Community hospital experience preferred
-
Experience with acute care work settings including ADLs, adaptive equipment, wheelchair evaluations, and pre-discharge planning

Experience treating conditions such as CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, amputee, arthritis, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and hand/nerve injuries
-
Proficient in assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, discharge, and documentation

Provide occupational therapy services to adult patients in an acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities include activities of daily living training, adaptive equipment recommendations, wheelchair evaluations and positioning, and pre-discharge planning

Treat a range of conditions including CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, arthritis, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and hand/nerve/tendon injuries

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract
