Position Summary
The Resource Center Secretary plays a vital role in supporting daily Resource Center operations, welcoming visitors, assisting staff, maintaining records, and ensuring efficient administrative functions while supporting individuals receiving services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of general office experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid Michigan Driver License
- Approval by STEP’s insurance carrier
Key Responsibilities
- Support ASCEND data entry and reporting
- Greet visitors and answer telephones
- Prepare correspondence, labels, folders, and notices
- Assist with payroll, attendance, petty cash, and supply requisitions
- Maintain records, filing systems, copies, and mail distribution
- Ensure confidentiality of personnel and client records
- Support DWIHN, Medicaid, and CARF compliance requirements
- Prepare reports and documentation on a timely basis
- Provide personal care assistance when needed
- Follow all STEP policies and procedures
