Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician with at least two years of experience in 12V and 110V electrical systems within the recreational vehicle (RV) industry. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in RVs, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair 12V and 110V electrical systems in recreational vehicles, including lighting, power outlets, batteries, and control panels
- Diagnose electrical issues using multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults quickly and accurately
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure precise wiring and system integration
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards for safety and compliance
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems utilizing industrial electrical knowledge, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when applicable
- Follow all electrical safety procedures during installation and repair work to prevent hazards and ensure team safety
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring, cutting, crimping, and assembly tasks on construction sites or renovation projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with 12V/110V electrical systems in recreational vehicles or similar mobile environments
- Proven expertise in industrial or commercial electrician work with knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Strong ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and ohmmeters
- Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring practices and low-voltage systems within the RV industry
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, construction site experience, renovation projects, and handyman skills are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards on various job sites
