Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $2,904.72. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Annual Salary: $69,713.28
Work Hours: The work hours for this position are 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.
Job Location: This position will be located at 221 West High, Jefferson City, MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Lead role in writing Work Plan Requests (WPR) to acquire a contractor(s) to perform fiscal monitoring of external subrecipients.
- Serve as Project Manager to oversee contractors responsible for fiscal monitoring of department subrecipients to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, grant agreements, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure contractor adherence to prescribed timelines for the fiscal monitoring process and all requirements within the WPR.
- Provide thorough review and feedback of all fiscal monitoring reports and corrective action plans completed by the contractor(s).
- Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained in an organized manner for subsequent audit requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on select federal audits. Manage and track assigned federal audit requests and responses, establish internal deadlines to ensure timely responses, and coordinate with division audit liaisons.
- Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and database software for reviewing monitoring tools and reports.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field. Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing expenditures of state and federal funds. Experience with managing projects and with writing WPRs. Experience with managing and responding to federal audit requests. Skills in critical and analytical thinking and in being detail-oriented. Ability to communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, meet deadlines, foster a cooperative environment, and promote collaboration.
