Job Summary
We are seeking an Operations Assistant to help with the daily operations of our resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences. As the Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the resort run smoothly, from guest relations to staff supervision, while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in all resort operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience from check-in to check-out.
- Ensure that the cleaning schedule is completely covered by the cleaning staff.
- Answer the office phone, as well as any messages through text, email, or third party booking apps.
- Maintain effective communication with guests and co-workers to ensure needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Uphold cleanliness standards and ensure that all resort facilities are well-maintained, cleaned and presentable. This includes doing onsite laundry, and emptying trash cans.
- Supervise our kayak rentals.
- Use our booking software to help guests with booking matters.
- Cover the weekend shift.
Qualifications
- Self motivated.
- Basic computer navigation.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and effective communication strategies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to perform basic physical labor (walking, standing, lifting)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
