Pay Range: $62,375.00 - $80,726.88
Responsible for the marketing of assigned new and renewal accounts, determining markets, obtaining and evaluating quotations, negotiating terms and pricing, and making recommendations to sales staff. Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting criteria and marketing requirements. Proficient with various carriers' online rating systems. Develop a full working knowledge of agency standards and marketing workflows. Prepare and complete accurate submissions by populating/maintaining data in agency management system. Prepare proposals for sales staff, policy orders and binders with the successful carrier. Assist with transitioning accounts from marketing state to the service teams with proper documentation and data in the agency's management system. In addition, may be responsible for performing customer service on commercial property & casualty accounts serving as customer’s advocate between the customer and the insurance carrier. Collaborates with commercial producers to identify potential coverage gaps and recommends best offering to customer and producer.
Education and Experience:

New York State Property & Casualty Brokers License

3-5 years commercial lines account experience required

Associate degree or equivalent work experience

Property & Casualty Broker's license and/or Life, Accident, and Health license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Professional Insurance designation req or ability to obtain within 12 months

Tasks Performed:

20% - Prepares submissions & quote proposals, negotiates terms, assists Account Executives with developing presentation strategy, finishes process with account binding and file documentation.

20% - Following department and agency procedures, perform or oversee all key servicing aspects of assigned commercial accounts, within the agency management system and/or carrier websites, including but not limited to, new business & renewal submissions, coverage review and analysis, proposals, policy changes, review and timely delivery of policy documents. Ensure system documentation is professional, thorough, concise, and free of typographical errors.

20% - Identify commercial account customer issues or concerns by listening and clarifying the customer's comments, researching system files, procedures, and guidelines to determine the action needed, then provide an accurate verbal or written response to the customer, regarding existing coverage levels and recommend additional products or services to minimize coverage gaps when applicable.

15% - Utilize insurance carrier online rating portals to obtain quote proposals

10% - Perform coverage reviews and work with Account Executives to make recommendations and develop strategy for marketing and placement.

5% - Regularly works with Agency service team to identify accounts that need to be remarketed on renewal and help with seamless transition on accounts moving from marketing to service department.

5% - Meets with insurance carrier underwriters to keep current on market conditions, carrier appetite, and process for efficient account quoting
