Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Line Cook to join the opening team of our new restaurant. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who takes pride in execution, consistency, and teamwork. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in establishing our kitchen standards from day one, contributing to a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Comprehensive training will be provided on our menu, recipes, and kitchen procedures to ensure your success as part of our opening staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Participate in training on the restaurant’s menu, cooking techniques, and service expectations as part of the new restaurant opening
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently during service, including chopping, marinating, grilling, sautéing, and plating
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas throughout each shift
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure accurate, timely order execution
- Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and proper storage of ingredients
- Support special events or catering services as needed, while maintaining quality and consistency
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment preferred, though motivated candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply
- Working knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction while contributing positively to the kitchen culture
- Experience in fine dining or upscale casual dining is a plus, but not required
- Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
