Job Title: Production Associate

Position Overview
Carrots Juice Bar and Cafe is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Associate to support daily back-of-house operations. This role is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, assembling menu items to specification, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring efficient production flow in a fast-paced, health-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Production
- Wash, chop, portion, and prep fresh fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients
- Prepare juices, smoothies, bowls, wraps, and other menu items according to standardized recipes
- Maintain product consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Assist with batching and labeling products for retail or grab-and-go display
Inventory & Organization
- Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries
- Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
- Monitor ingredient levels and notify management of low inventory
- Maintain organized prep stations and storage areas
Sanitation & Safety
- Adhere to food safety regulations and health department guidelines
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment at all times
- Properly operate and clean juicers, blenders, food processors, and kitchen equipment
- Follow company safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination
Team Support
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist during peak hours to maintain production efficiency
- Support overall café operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous food prep, kitchen, or production experience preferred
- SafeServe certification is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Passion for health, wellness, and fresh food preparation
Work Environment
- Fast-paced café setting
- Early morning, evenings, and weekend availability is required
- Hands-on, active role requiring physical stamina
