Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients’ skill acquisition and behavior management goals
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines to foster independence
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Support clients with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders through structured teaching strategies, social skills training, and behavior management techniques
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and HIPAA-compliant medical records to ensure confidentiality and compliance
- Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Provide patient-centered care in various settings, including home-based environments, ensuring safety and adherence to professional ethical standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in a behavioral health or special education setting is preferred
- Home-based behavioral experience is highly valued for understanding real-world application of ABA techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations is advantageous for maintaining compliance and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to collect data systematically and accurately during therapy sessions
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and autism spectrum disorders support enhances effectiveness in this role
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to ethical practices aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
