Mechanical Assembly Technician - building high-end light towers and trailers. Our team members will be expected to be trained in all the functions necessary to build our towers. You will be cross trained through all the job stations to take on any role. Each job station requires attention to detail.
Shift/Pay
- Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Saturday – 6:00 am – 11:00 am
- Overtime is required – average 50-55 hours a week
- $21 / hour depending on experience
Required skills
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading technical drawings and understanding color codes
- Technical skills: Strong understanding of assembly processes, familiarity with hand and power tools, and knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards
- Manual Dexterity: Possess good hand-eye coordination for precise work with small components and hand tools
- Attention to Detail: A high degree of precision is needed for accurate wiring and assembly
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
- Experience: One or more years’ experience in a production or assembly environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Display a positive attitude and practice a strong work ethic that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
- Mechanical skills – bolting, drilling, general assembly, operating hoist/crane.
- Team player: cross-training and supporting peers with work that is outside of your, or their, core skill set.
- Identify and communicate quality, safety, and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Accurately capture materials and parts consumption using provided computer systems and software.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to work in a manufacturing setting, often while standing, using standard wiring equipment, and adhering to PPE requirements.
- Must be able to lift/move 50 lb. repetitively for a 10-hour shift
- Must be able to stand for 10-hour shift
Pay: $21.00 per hour
