Job Purpose:
The Inventory Control Associate is an essential team member responsible for accurately tracking, storing, and replenishing products and supplies while ensuring quality control and loss mitigation. This role plays a key part in optimizing inventory flow, maintaining stock accuracy, and assisting in product quality assurance. This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality inventory management in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The Inventory Control Associate supports daily warehouse operations, assists the Receiving and Warehouse Team Lead and Supervisor, and collaborates with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Record and report inventory levels and discrepancies, performing weekly cycle counts and end-of-month physical inventories.
- Replenish, organize, and monitor inventory, ensuring First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices to reduce loss and shrinkage.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on incoming products and maintain essential warehouse materials and supplies.
- Follow direction from the Receiving and Warehouse Supervisor and assist with training, coaching, and quality control for warehouse staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Track inventory movement, identify potential risks, and support loss prevention initiatives.
- Collaborate with Active Pick, Shipping, Floral, and Branding departments to ensure timely inventory availability and replenishment.
- Support high-volume processing and seasonal operations (October–December), assisting with training seasonal employees as needed.
- Operate warehouse tools and equipment safely, including pallet jacks, rolling ladders, handheld scanners, and box cutters.
- Monitor refrigerated inventory to ensure compliance with temperature control requirements.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the scheduled shift, with frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and may enter refrigeration units and loading/unloading of delivery trucks.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to ensure accuracy, neatness, and overall quality of work.
- Daily use of warehouse tools and equipment, including scissors, cutters, tape dispensers, handheld scanners, and computers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
