St. Elizabeth Men’s Shelter has an open position for full-time Shift Supervisor. Full-time staff are eligible for the employee benefits. We are looking for candidates that have a strong interest in serving the community and working with the unhoused population. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge or familiarity working in Mental Health and or Substance Abuse and can meet the following.
Job Responsibilities:
- Open and flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable with distributing and logging medications for clients.
- Administrative/clerical work.
- Detail-oriented and efficient.
- An ability to remain calm under high-level pressure in various scenarios.
- A team player with a good attitude and an understanding of professionalism.
- Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Other duties to be discussed.
Most importantly, willingness to work with all walks of life and exercise kindness, empathy and compassion.
Requirements:
Credentials/Qualifications
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Spanish speaking preferred
Experience working with homeless individuals and/or families preferred
Willing and able to work with diverse populations
Effective communication skills
Computer proficient
Knowledge of the unique cultural heritage of northern New Mexico
Weekends as needed
Pay: $20.00 per hour
