American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Redding, CA.
-
Acute care hospital setting within a Rehab unit serving PT, OT, and Speech therapy patients
-
Level II Trauma Center
-
10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (7:00am–5:30pm)
-
Every 3rd weekend required
-
Holidays worked on a rotating basis with permanent staff across all modalities
-
Cerner EMR in use
-
No floating required
-
PT aides available on unit to support daily operations
-
Hospitalist available 24/7; RT and Pharmacy also available 24/7

Active OT license for the state of California required; license must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted
-
Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
-
Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required

Current BLS certification required
-
COVID vaccine required
-
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

8 hours of floor-specific orientation provided

Dress code requires a burgundy polo or button-down long-sleeve shirt (available through the hospital vendor) and solid dark pants — no scrubs allowed

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
