Your Responsibilities
In partnership with our client success team, you will get to know the needs, preferences and personality of your client so you can help them have their best day, every day. Every client has a care plan that spells out the specific duties for that assignment, so the mix looks different from client to client. Your day may include:
- Being there: warm companionship, authentic conversation, and a watchful eye so your client stays safe and supported
- Helping with dressing, grooming and bathing in a way that protects dignity and makes the routine feel relaxing again
- Supporting steadiness and mobility, from getting up out of a chair to a walk around the block
- Preparing and serving your client's favorite meals, and keeping them company while they eat
- Medication reminders (we are a non-medical agency, so you will never administer medication)
- Noticing changes in how your client is doing and letting the office know
- Light tidying and laundry that keep your client's home safe and comfortable
- Helping the client get to errands, groceries and appointments, or just a drive to change up the day
What You’ll Need
- 1 year+ caregiving experience (Preferred)
- Work Authorization (Required)
- Personal Vehicle, Driver’s License, and Car Insurance (Required)
- Active CA Home Care Aide (HCA) ID # (Required)
- Can reliably show up to every shift on time
- Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written
- Good communication skills and ability to notify the office when required
- Patience and a positive attitude, especially when the client is having a difficult time
- You give joy and focus on relationships first
