Qualifications:
· LPN or RN license
· BLS helpful but we also provide classes
· Knowledge of R-Task (our EMR) is a plus but not required
· Must be able to read and write effectively in English
· Personable and professional during shift and while interacting with family members and/or vendors
· Must be able to perform clerical duties of an LPN or RN
Requirements:

· Currently licensed and in good standing in VA
· Should have their latest physical report with immunization (MMR) lab works and negative TB screening within the last 12 months
Responsibilities:
· Prepares and administers medications and treatments with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects of nursing care provided.
· Completes all documentation for observation, planning, and evaluation of care provided to residents, including orders by physicians.
· Functions in monitoring capacity as assigned for completion of resident’s care, employee guidance, and discipline.
· Maintains open lines of communication between nursing shifts, as well as other departments, supervisor, physicians, and families of residents.
· Acts on the resident’s behalf to assure patient rights and to prevent resident abuse.
· Acts on first aid knowledge in emergencies.
· Is able to maintain confidentiality of information.
· Works as a team member.
· Is able to perform the following physical activities: Kneeling, Stooping, Standing, Reaching, Pulling/Pushing, Walking, Grasping, Moving Fingers, Hearing, Talking, Sitting, and Repetitive Motions.
Education:
· High School Education.
· Current LPN/RN license in VA or permit to practice.
· CPR and first-aid certification.
· Must be certified as Tuberculosis Free.
