Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of hotel housekeeping services, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, and foster a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your leadership will drive efficiency, maintain impeccable cleanliness standards, and promote a safe, hospitable atmosphere across all areas of the property.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they meet brand standards.
- Manage cleaning schedules, assign tasks to staff, and monitor performance to optimize productivity.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols.
- Ensure all cleaning procedures utilize appropriate techniques for floor care, vacuuming, janitorial tasks, and industrial cleaning when necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify sanitation levels, cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment; address any deficiencies promptly.
- Train staff on proper manual handling techniques, heavy lifting safety procedures, and emergency protocols including hotel emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning supplies inventory, safety data sheets (SDS), and staff schedules.
- Promote a culture of exceptional customer service by ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are spotless and welcoming at all times.
- Enforce health and safety regulations to protect staff and guests while maintaining compliance with industry standards for hotel housekeeping management.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality settings.
- Extensive knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation including vacuums, floor buffers, scrubbers, and other janitorial tools.
- Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
- Prior experience with hotel housekeeping management systems is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
