- Start Time: 6am- 2:30pm / 40 hour weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including floor cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures to ensure safe usage and storage.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and scrubbers efficiently to maintain various flooring types including tile, carpet, and hardwood.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment to facilitate thorough sanitation processes.
- Maintain high levels of sanitation in guest rooms, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with hotel housekeeping management protocols.
- Follow strict safety guidelines for chemical handling and industrial cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and courteously when needed.
- Adhere to hotel housekeeping management standards while ensuring compliance with health regulations related to sanitation and cleanliness.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices enhances your ability to meet service standards efficiently.
- Experience handling cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling, SDS protocols, and hotel emergency procedures ensures a safe working environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage manual handling tasks effectively is essential.
- Previous roles involving sanitation, floor care, or industrial cleaning will support your success in this position.
- Strong customer service skills combined with hospitality experience help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.
