Duties
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and installing tiles on floors, walls, and backsplashes under supervision
- Support carpenters with framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture setup
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements
- Help with demolition, cleanup, and preparation of work sites for renovation or restoration projects
- Participate in heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow
- Contribute to tasks such as caulking, stucco application, siding installation, and water damage restoration as needed
- Learn proper techniques for rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry work, and metal stud framing
- Support team members in remodeling projects including flooring installation and drywall finishing
- Follow safety protocols consistently to maintain a secure construction environment
Experience
- No prior professional experience required; enthusiasm for construction is essential
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Prior exposure to construction site environments or apprenticeship programs is advantageous
- Knowledge of blueprint reading or schematics is beneficial but not mandatory—training will be provided
- Experience in related fields such as woodworking, roofing, plastering, or manufacturing is helpful
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and long hours
- Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or mold remediation
