Licensed Aesthetician / Treatment Specialist
Corrections Med Spa – Pembroke, MA
Position Summary
The Licensed Aesthetician / Treatment Specialist provides aesthetic and wellness treatments while delivering a warm, professional, and personalized client experience at Corrections Med Spa.
This position will perform and support services including red light therapy, laser hair removal, VI Peels, and microchanneling, based on the employee’s training, credentials, and approved scope of practice. The ideal candidate is client-focused, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable educating clients about treatment options, and committed to maintaining Corrections’ treatment and safety standards.
This position requires flexible availability, including some evening shifts and Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
Aesthetic & Wellness Treatments
- Perform approved aesthetic and wellness services according to Corrections protocols, training, and scope of practice.
- Provide treatments including VI Peels, micro channeling, and other approved aesthetic services.
- Review required client forms, treatment history, contraindications, and treatment documentation prior to services.
- Prepare clients for treatment and explain the treatment process, expectations, and appropriate aftercare.
- Follow established treatment protocols, manufacturer instructions, infection-control procedures, and safety requirements.
- Monitor client comfort and response throughout treatments.
- Stop treatment and notify the appropriate supervisor or medical provider when a client reports an unexpected reaction, contraindication, or medical concern.
- Document treatments accurately and completely in the client record.
- Take standardized before-and-after photographs when appropriate.
- Provide approved post-treatment and home-care instructions.
Laser Hair Removal
- Perform laser hair removal treatments when appropriately trained, credentialed, and authorized.
- Complete required pre-treatment assessments and confirm contraindication screening prior to treatment.
- Follow Corrections’ established laser treatment parameters, safety protocols, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain appropriate laser safety practices during every treatment.
- Document treatment settings, client response, and other required information in the client record.
- Report adverse reactions, equipment concerns, or treatment issues immediately.
Red Light Therapy
- Prepare red light therapy rooms and equipment for client appointments.
- Properly position and wrap clients using the approved Corrections treatment method.
- Set up and monitor treatments according to established treatment plans and Corrections protocols.
- Educate clients on the treatment process using Corrections-approved information.
- Monitor client comfort throughout treatment.
- Clean and disinfect red light therapy equipment and treatment areas between clients.
- Document completed treatments accurately.
Client Experience & Education
- Create a welcoming, premium, and comfortable experience for every client.
- Build professional relationships with clients and understand their individual aesthetic and wellness goals.
- Educate clients on appropriate treatment options and recommended treatment plans.
- Discuss relevant packages, memberships, services, and home-care products when appropriate.
- Support client retention through excellent service, education, and follow-up.
- Direct medical questions or concerns outside the aesthetician’s scope to the appropriate qualified provider.
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
Treatment Room & Operational Responsibilities
- Prepare and reset treatment rooms before and after appointments.
- Clean and disinfect equipment, surfaces, and treatment areas according to established protocols.
- Maintain appropriately stocked and organized treatment rooms.
- Monitor treatment and retail inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
- Assist with laundry, room turnover, and general spa organization.
- Follow opening and closing procedures when assigned.
- Report equipment problems, client concerns, incidents, or unusual reactions promptly.
Team & Operational Support
- Work collaboratively with the owner, management, reception staff, and other Treatment Specialists.
- Communicate scheduling concerns, client issues, supply needs, and operational concerns promptly.
- Follow all Corrections policies, procedures, treatment protocols, and service standards.
- Participate in required staff meetings, training sessions, certifications, and competency reviews.
- Help maintain a clean, calm, professional, and client-ready environment.
- Support other team members while remaining within the employee’s training, credentials, and scope of responsibility.
Qualifications
· Current Massachusetts aesthetician license in good standing.
· Previous aesthetician, med spa, wellness, or related experience preferred.
· Laser hair removal experience and/or training preferred.
· Experience with chemical peels, microchanneling, or similar advanced aesthetic treatments preferred.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Warm, polished, and professional demeanor.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to client safety.
· Ability to follow established treatment protocols consistently.
· Comfortable educating clients about treatments, products, packages, and memberships.
· Ability to learn new equipment, treatment protocols, and technology.
· Ability to maintain accurate client documentation.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
· Dependable attendance and punctuality.
· Good time-management and organizational skills.
· Willingness to assist with shared responsibilities in a growing small-business environment.
· Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the spa for extended periods.
- Assist clients with positioning while maintaining appropriate safety and privacy.
- Perform treatments requiring repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Lift and carry treatment supplies, laundry, and equipment components as reasonably required.
- Safely clean and disinfect treatment rooms and equipment.
- Perform computer-based documentation and administrative duties as required.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 34.0 per week
