Company Description: We are a diversified construction company specializing in commercial & residential flooring, glass & glazing, walls & ceilings, commercial doors & hardware, and millwork & fixture installation.
Position Description: We are seeking construction employees in retail carpentry installation that specialize in drywall taping.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepare drywall for finishing
- Seal joints between plasterboard or wallboards
- Communicates effectively with others in all phases of work and is safety oriented
- Ensures job site remains clean and orderly
Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business.
Experience/Education Required:
- Ability to lift heavy objects including ability to walk and stand for long periods of time while performing physical labor that is essential to completing the retail site or other commercial project
- Must possess the skills to multi-task, work in a team setting, and meet deadlines
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must be ok with heights
- Valid state driver's license is required
- Must be willing to travel throughout WI and the UP
Conditions of employment: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen. The employee is expected to all adhere to all company policies. Requires strenuous physical work with the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds independently and 100+ pounds as a team lift, including frequent work on hands/knees, while pushing and pulling, bending and twisting, while performing physical labor that is essential to completing the project.
