Platinum Used Cars is a Premium Luxury Car store in Marietta. Our 150 units in inventory consist of both domestic and foreign vehicles. We are looking for a new Senior Automotive Technician/Shop Foreman.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and Mentor Technicians: Supervise and guide junior technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to industry best practices.
- Perform Advanced Diagnoses and Repairs: Utilize extensive technical knowledge to diagnose and repair complex issues on luxury vehicles.
- Oversee Daily Shop Operations: Ensure the shop is running smoothly by managing workflow, prioritizing jobs, and distributing tasks among the team based on skill levels.
- Quality Control: Inspect work completed by junior technicians to ensure repairs meet high standards and are done correctly the first time.
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and technical support to less experienced technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration with Service Manager: Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure efficient service delivery and that customer expectations are met.
- Maintain Shop Efficiency: Monitor shop tools, equipment, and resources to ensure they are in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and dealership policies.
- Stay Current with Automotive Technology: Continuously update knowledge of new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends, particularly related to luxury vehicles.
- Assist in Hiring Process: Participate in the interview and hiring process for junior technicians as needed, helping to build a strong and capable team.
- Troubleshoot and Problem-Solve: Address any challenging or escalated repair issues and provide expert guidance to the team when complex problems arise.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive Automotive Knowledge: Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing luxury vehicles, with a deep understanding of modern automotive systems.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians to achieve high-quality results.
- Experience with Luxury Brands: Experience working with high-end, luxury vehicle brands is strongly preferred.
- Technical Certifications: ASE certifications (or equivalent) and manufacturer-specific training/certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, the Service Manager, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and commitment to ensuring every job is done to the highest standards.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize repairs, and oversee the daily operations of the shop.
- Clean Driving History: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
