Woofie’s of Northwest Raleigh is looking for an experienced, caring, and dependable Pet Groomer to join our team. We are seeking someone who loves working with animals, takes pride in quality grooming, and understands how important comfort, safety, and great customer service are for every pet and pet parent.
As a Pet Groomer, you will provide professional grooming services for a variety of pets while helping them look and feel their best. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values compassion, reliability, and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, trimming, and styling
- Trim nails, clean ears, and provide basic coat and skin care
- Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and recommend appropriate care when needed
- Safely and gently handle pets throughout the grooming process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area and equipment
- Communicate with pet parents to understand grooming requests and expectations
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and address questions or concerns
- Help create a positive, low-stress experience for pets and their owners
Requirements
- Previous professional grooming experience is required
- Knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming needs
- Strong animal handling skills with a focus on pet safety and comfort
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of pet care and the ability to notice potential health or skin concerns
- Familiarity with grooming tools, equipment, and proper sanitation practices
- Cat grooming or cat care experience is preferred, but not required
