At Securian Financial, the internal title for this position is Reporting & Analytics Sr Analyst.
Overview:
This position is part of the Business Intelligence team within Individual Solutions. A professional in this position will provide reporting and analytics subject matter expertise for life products, annuity products, and business solutions to Individual Solutions stakeholders. This position is ideal for a curious, analytical professional who enjoys transforming complex data into clear business insights, improving data & reporting processes, and partnering with stakeholders to solve business challenges.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reporting & Analytics Delivery
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, surveys, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical solutions that support the business.
Conduct trend analysis, root cause analysis, and exploratory data analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging patterns.
Data Management & Governance
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and integration activities across multiple systems and data sources.
Develop and maintain standardized data catalogs including business definitions, calculations, KPIs, and reporting documentation.
Tools, Technology & Continuous Improvement
Utilize reporting and analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, RStudio, or similar technologies to support business intelligence initiatives.
Partner with enterprise teams to improve data marts, reporting capabilities, metadata, and data cataloging efforts.
Business Partnership & Consultation
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Strong data manipulation and analytical skills, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, RStudio, or similar technologies.
Effective prioritization skills, including the ability to balance accuracy, resources, and timelines within the bigger picture.
Preferred Qualifications:

The estimated base pay range for this job is:
$59,400.00 - $109,200.00
Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
