Key responsibilities of a Service Dispatcher:
Receive and prepare all incoming work orders
Enter all work orders to dispatch software as needed
Accurately read and interpret the scope of work on the work order
Ensure the priority of the work order is appropriate for the scope of work and take the necessary steps to rectify if not
Ensure all vital information is present prior to scheduling including photos, additional notes, or specialty needs
Communicate with customers, store managers, vendors, and technicians, and leadership regarding the status or needs of the job
Schedule and dispatch appropriate technicians, vendors, or equipment as determined by the scope of work on the work order
Check vendors into jobs, take note of work performed
Be mindful of the allotted NTE and alert leadership if the job will not fall within the given NTE
Close out the jobs in the dispatch software as completed
Skills and qualifications for a Service Dispatcher:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and email etiquette
Minimum one year of customer service and employee management experience
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, work orders and personnel
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
Basic construction knowledge preferred
Basic knowledge of geographical coverage areas
